Contribution and experience
Ross has extensive experience in international and UK public affairs, policy and communications as well eight years specialising for Drax in biomass policy and sustainability.
A senior leader across a range of businesses within Drax, Ross has led the successful development of a CDR market under the Elimini brand as well as innovation in the establishment of international expert advisory panels and engagement with NGOs.
As Chief Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Officer Ross is using this experience and expertise in the development of Drax’s future sustainability approach, international public affairs, business development, internal and external stakeholder engagement, policy strategy and community outreach.
Prior to working within Drax Group, Ross worked as a policy and political advisor to several British politicians in the Scottish, UK, and European Parliament where he focused on energy and climate change policy, including emissions trading reform and renewable energy legislation. He has been a member of the Board of Bioenergy Europe and Energy UK.
Originally from Scotland, Ross holds a degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Aberdeen.
