How are we delivering on our commitment

We hold ourselves accountable, through specific targets supporting our commitment to represent the communities we operate in at all career levels. These targets are embedded into our wider organisational goals and commitments that inform our company performance ratings.  

To make these commitments a reality and build trust within Drax we all have a responsibility to act through our DEI pillars driven by our DEI Team, employee networks (CRGs) and delivered by everyone!

How our colleagues get involved?

We have six colleague resources groups (CRGs) who come together through meetings, events, and advocacy to support our commitment to build an inclusive and fair working environmentEach of our CRGs is colleague-led to represent colleagues and their allies with senior leadership support. We’ve celebrated Pride, explored imposter syndrome, changed policy and much more.

  • Disability@Drax: promotes inclusivity, accessibility, and equal opportunities. We foster a diverse workplace where individuals with disabilities thrive personally and professionally. 
  • Pride@Drax: works to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and to provide a safe space for all LGBTQ+ colleagues across Drax and beyond 
  • Parents&Carers@Drax:  supports a community addressing challenges for parents and caregivers. Our goal is to empower members in balancing professional and family duties. 
  • Race&Ethnicity@Drax: works to create space for discussion and celebration of the histories, traditions and cultures that make up Drax. 
  • Women@Drax: advocates for gender balance and equity at Drax and beyond
