Drax is principally a power generation business responsible for meeting around 7–8% of the UK’s electricity demand. Upstream in the supply chain, the Company has a presence in the US focused on developing and operating wood pellet plants. Downstream, Haven Power serves the electricity needs of business customers.

Drax Biomass is a development and operating company focused on manufacturing wood pellets for renewable low-carbon power generation from sustainable biomass.

Drax Power is our power generation business. It is responsible for operating the largest power station in the UK, typically supplying 7-8% of the UK's electricity.

Haven Power is focused on providing businesses of all sizes with electricity contracts that are simple, flexible and designed to meet their specific requirements.

Biomass, or organic plant-based material, is plentiful - it is the world's fourth largest energy resource. It is renewable and can be sustainable.
