Our approach in Canada
As in all the countries where we operate, we take sustainability seriously in Canada.
Our approach to sustainability covers the biomass pellet production plants we run in western Canada (in British Columbia and Alberta) and the related supply chain. This chain includes the forests where we source materials, multiple sawmills, as well as road and rail links to the ports of Westview and Fibreco. At both ports, container ships upload our biomass before then sailing across the Pacific and delivering it to customers in Japan and the rest of Asia.
