Corey Woolard is VP Southern Operations, where he leads all pellet manufacturing sites and the ports in the US. Corey’s focus is on driving a sustainable, scalable business that aligns with Drax’s growth strategy through operational efficiencies, key metric performance, and cost control management.
Corey joined Drax from Bowery Farming, a vertical farming start-up company, but spent most of his career in chemical manufacturing where he advanced from HSE engineering into Operations management. Over the span of his professional journey, he’s held various positions with increasing levels of responsibility from plant management to global VP of Operations when he was with Klockner Pentaplast, a German based polymer film manufacturer. Corey’s career has been focused on business transformation, metric implementation, and culture development.
Corey is a safety engineer by degree and holds a Master’s in occupational health and safety management. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, working on household projects and spending time with family & friends.
